the Birthday boy & his beer-Jacksonville Family Photographer

So I always hesitate posting my personal family pics but I thought I would show you some from this weekend...we had such a great time celebrating my husband's 36th birthday!

It was just my family (my parents & my sister's family) and we decided to have a party that sums up everything my husband likes: beer, steak & the Florida Gators. We had a beer tasting (and a cola tasting for the kiddos and those of us who don't drink beer), beer cheese fondue, his favorite meal for dinner & a 6 layer orange and blue cake in honor of his favorite team.

I made everything just a few days before his birthday...kinda had to get creative and a practically non-existant budget. The little signs were made from cardboard I found in the garage, the napkin rings are toilet paper rolls, the table cloths and runners I made out of burlap fabric, the cake is box mix and betty crocker icing, I created the beer scorecards and signs in PS and the beer & cola was picked up at World Market. It doesn't take much to entertain us, we love to have a reason to party!!!

Seriously would never have guessed you had a "non existent budget" for this party!! Your attention to detail is wonderful and I love the brown color scheme to compliment the beer theme! Toilet paper rolls for napkin rings??? Absolutely clever! Great job on the cake...love the surprise of color on the inside!
