I seriously have the best clients around. We had scheduled this maternity shoot earlier in the week when it looked like the weather would be great...as the week went on, the rain decided to pop up on picture day. The clouds loomed over all day but rain never came...that is until the minute she arrived for the shoot! I was trying to hide my complete stress-attack as I had planned mostly outside shots when she told me a little rain wouldn't stop her! Um, yes!!!! While it was coming down pretty hard we did some studio shots but then I grabbed 2 umbrellas and we hit the park next door. She never flinched...she just nailed every shot! She is amazingly beautiful and I am so excited to meet her daughter in a few weeks!!!
Last weekend my Mom and I threw my sister a baby shower for her little Owen who is due in a few short weeks. We were on a tight budget so we opted to make a lot of the decorations ourselves. It was held at the beautiful Palencia Club and themed around the invitations created by the very talented Whimsy Whimsical. The cake was of course made by my favorite baker in the whole world, Love & Sugar Kisses. The goody bags on everyone's plate were filled with my sister's favorite candy, maple nut goodies!
Since I was hostess, I didn't take too many pictures during the shower but here are a few I took before everyone arrived. I'm a little sad that I don't have any more parties to plan for a while but really, really excited to be meeting my new nephew soon!
Recognize this little red chair??? Mr. M had his newborn and 3 months shoots in it...it is going to be so cool to see how big he has gotten over his first year! It is his half birthday this month and it is my favorite time to photograph babies, they are so stinkin happy!!! I just love those gum-y smiles ;)
My big sister is due in a few short weeks and I'm so excited to meet my newest nephew! Today was her baby shower (will be posting pics soon) but I wanted to get her maternity shots up before she isn't pregnant anymore, lol!
Tis the season for newborns it appears! I had another little handsome guy in the studio this week...all of 9 days old and just perfect. His room is turquoise, grey and white...um, hello??? Those are my colors! I knew right away, this would be a good match ;)
Newborns are not my specialty but oh how I have enjoyed having back to back to back little ones in my studio! Finally, a little girl! Susan of Flowerz by Suz was sweet enough to send me some new hair bows since I was having a baby girl this week...check her out if you are looking for super cute hair accessories! Here is a little sneak peek: (the last one, with the shoes...yep, those are grandma, great grandma and great Aunt's shoes!)
