Starting 6th Grade-Jacksonville Family Photographer

Yesterday my baby boy started Middle School. I always kind of roll my eyes when I hear the other moms talk about crying when their kids start school...I never have...it was always more exciting than sad for me...but yesterday, after Preston got out of my car and walked himself in to the big-bad-world of Middle School...I cried. In fact, all day I was an emotional basket case. But when I picked him up, he was beaming and went on and on about his great first day. I was on cloud nine ;)

I can only get him to take a few pictures for me now a days, he hates attention and this weekend there were tons of people watching him get his picture taken, it was torture for him but I love every one of them!!!

Starting 2nd grade-Jacksonville Family Photographer

My beautiful Bella started 2nd grade today. We took a little trip this weekend to Orlando as our last celebration of summer. Since I normally take back to school pictures of the kids the weekend before school, I made them take a few pictures for me on our vacation. Bella is really a natural, and not shy when it comes to having her picture taken (NOT the case for my son). Everyone around us was watching her and she seemed to eat it up...for those of you that know Bella, she is pretty shy...until you get to know her...then good luck trying to get her to stop talking ;)

I love my job-Jacksonville Family Photographer

My favorite part of my job is getting to meet fabulous families like the R family. They welcomed me into their beautiful home and we just clicked. The girls were genuinely sweet and thoughtful and we had such a great time just hanging out. Here's a little sneak peek...

New Addition-Jacksonville Maternity Photographer

It's such a small world...I met this wonderful couple who actually went to the same High School I did, at the same time (one year younger) and I didn't know them until this past weekend! I had to divulge what a complete nerd I was in High School...editor of the school paper and such so they probably wouldn't remember me, lol! Anyway...they decided to bring along their first baby for their maternity shoot and I must say, he was the easiest baby I have ever photographed!!! None of these shots are composites...he looked straight at the camera and smiled!!! Enjoy a little sneak peek:

Sweet Baby M-Jacksonville Newborn Photographer

I was so excited to meet this little guy...it was only a few weeks ago that I had an awesome maternity session with Mom and Dad. I just know his is going to be super-cool because his parents definitely are. Just like the last couple of newborn sessions I have had, he was so curious about me, he just wanted to look at everything I was doing...I definitely think it made for great shots...Look at that face!!! I just wanted to snuggle him all day!!! Here is a little sneak peek:

Miss Easy-Jacksonville Family Photographer

I'm pretty sure that most photographer's would agree that the 3 month session is quite a tricky one...a newborn session might be the longest session but the 3 month session is probably the hardest. At 3 months, babies are wide-eyed but wondering, strong but not in control and they are still working out their communication style...But Miss E showed us exactly how to pull off a 3 month session with ease. It helps that 1) she is breathtakingly beautiful and 2) super-stylish (thanks to her Mom)! Here is a little sneak peek of this stunner:
